Who We Are
We are part of God’s worldwide movement, built for the glory of His name, the Church! As a bride delights in her husband, we want to be a church that delights in Christ. Like a healthy “tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither” (Psalm 1:3), we feed on the Word of God. And he has helped us to thrive!
We lean on three foundational pillars as we build on the framework we have in the saving work of Jesus:
- Love God Supremely
- Love One Another Passionately
- Love Others Intentionally
What does this mean practically?
Love God Supremely
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts. Therefore, we are deeply rooted in what He tells us through this book. We learn to love Him above all things as he describes himself in the Scriptures – a holy God, full of justice, yet merciful and forgiving, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.
We hold fast to the truth and clarity of God’s Word and will teach from it exactly as the Holy Spirit intended as he inspired men to write it down. (2 Peter 1:21)
Love One Another Passionately
We were built for community; the New Testament clearly teaches us 57 times to do life with “one another.” Joining other believers is essential in our journey to become more like Christ. When life gets complicated, these people come alongside you and don’t leave you behind.
As the body of Christ, we hold each other in prayer, provide meals, cry together, hold each other accountable, and celebrate in times of rejoicing.
Love Others Intentionally
As followers of Christ, we are called to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that [Jesus has] commanded [us].” – Matthew 28:19-20
We are a church firmly planted in the idea of disciples making disciples. We seek to be a thriving church with healthy roots that produces good fruit, cutting through all the confusion of this world as God intends.
