The Godhead consists of Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit
God is One in essence, with three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
The First Person of the Trinity.
Eternal – God existed before time and will exist after the end of time
Self-existent – Nothing/no one created God
Sovereign – that which he decrees will come to pass
Holy – perfect and separate from sinful man
Is the Second Person of the Trinity
Is eternal and self-existent
Was born of a virgin
Is truly man and truly God
Suffered substitutionary atonement for sin throughout all time
Was resurrected bodily from the grave and ascended to Heaven
Sits at the right hand of God the Father, where He is our Advocate, Intercessor, and Mediator
Is Third Person of the Trinity
Dwells within every regenerate follower of Jesus Christ
Chief among His many functions are the care, comfort, and correction of the follower of Jesus.
Is the pinnacle of God’s creation
Is created in the image of God, yet succumbed to sinful behavior that forever marked him as a sinner
We believe that God created man and woman as biologically unique beings
We believe that God created marriage as an institution to be entered into by one biological male and one biological female and, once entered into, is to be terminated only upon the death of a spouse
We believe that God established marriage - as defined above - as the only permissible relationship in which sexual activity may be practiced
We believe that Human life is sacred
We believe that Human life begins at the instant of conception and is to be honored and protected
The inspired (God-breathed) Word of God
Inerrant in the original autographs
Profitable for teaching correction, reproof, and training in righteousness, so as to equip the man and woman of God for every good work
Authoriative
Sufficient to equip the follower of Jesus for a life of faith and service
Is ordained by God, initiated by Jesus Christ, sustained by the Holy Spirit
Has as its members, invisibly, all those who have come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, and
Visibly, those regenerate believers who worship and serve in a local body of believers
Administers two ordinances: believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper
That to become saved, one must be born again, from above (Jn 3:3)
Is a sovereign work of God
Once salvation by grace through faith is received, it cannot be lost or forfeited
The Lord Jesus Christ will return to judge His enemies, save His people, and consummate His kingdom
That eternity in the loving presence of Jesus Christ is assured only to those who by faith have confessed and received Him as their Lord and Savior
