A message from the series "1 Thessalonians." This week we return to our study of 1 Thessalonians and Paul’s encouragement and instruction to believers in a local, first century church. As you prepare for our time in God’s Word, please re-read the first two chapters and then meditate on this week’s passage 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16. Take a moment to consider this wonderful passage in light of our Easter series in Matthew and especially Jesus’ words in the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20)

A message from the series "1 Thessalonians." This past Sunday Pastor Dave beautifully introduced us to this series covering 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16. He focused on verse 13 and the first of five bullet points “God speaks – The Word of God”. In this he taught that when Paul was speaking, he was speaking the “Word of God” and the authority that is within it. Continue to prepare for the teaching on the next four points that Pastor will cover by reading and praying over this section of scripture. “God speaks – The Word of God” “The Word is welcomed” “Lives are changed” “Expect opposition” “Thanks is given”
