A message from the series "Ephesians." This Sunday, Pastor Dave will continue with Part II of the series, “God’s Design for Marriage”. The topic will focus on “the privileged role of husbands”. In your preparation for the message, please read again Ephesians 5:22-33, but also read the parallel scripture Colossians 3:18-25. Both scripture references are attached. Please join us Sunday as we worship and learn God’s truth and design for marriage.

A message from the series "Ephesians." On Sunday, Pastor Dave will lead us in our next passage, Ephesians 5:22-33: “Wives and Husbands”. We will begin an extended look at the family beginning with marriage and in particular, God’s design for wives. Join us as we learn how God instructs Christian couples on how to live within their marriage. Please, set aside some quiet time this week reading and praying over this portion of scripture.

A message from the series "Ephesians." Sunday, Pastor Dave again will have us looking at Ephesians 5 with a focus on verse 21. This will set the tone for what we will be studying in the coming weeks. Scripture’s view on relationships in the home, marriage, family, and work. Also, please read in your study Philippians 2:1-8 and see how the humility and sacrifice of Jesus provides us with the perfect example of how we are to submit to one another.

A message from the series "Ephesians." On Sunday, we will continue with our study in Ephesians 5:15-21. In addition, please read and pray over Romans 8:1-11. As you study this scripture, think about what it is to be “filled with the Holy Spirit”. A wonderful gift from God that means we belong to Christ. This filling allows the believer to have a self-control which is actually God in control. What joy is experienced by the heart-song of those yielded to His control.

A message from the series "Ephesians." This Sunday, we will continue with our study in Ephesians chapter 5 looking specifically at verses 15-21, “Walk in Wisdom”. As believers, our wisdom in the Lord grows as we nurture it. Paul teaches that as we seek the “will” of God through His Word, prayer, and worship, we position ourselves to make wise decisions. Decisions that give us a keen awareness to make the most of opportunities to live for Christ and serve Him.

An attribute of the “worthy walk” will be that, as believers, we will walk as “children of light”. This means to live before the eyes of God not hiding anything. As we “walk in light”, God’s light is put on display bearing goodness and fruit.

A message from the series "Ephesians." On Sunday, Pastor Dave will continue teaching in Ephesians 5:1-20. Our “focus” verses will be Ephesians 5:7-14. An attribute of the “worthy walk” will be that, as believers, we will walk as “children of light”. This means to live before the eyes of God not hiding anything. As we “walk in light”, God’s light is put on display bearing goodness and fruit.

A message from the series "Ephesians." This Sunday, we will continue looking at Ephesians 5:1-20 with our focus verses being 1-6. The theme of these verses is “walking in love” fundamental to our Christian life. Also keep in mind that if you are “walking worthy” in the Lord that your walk will imitate the Father’s love for us and have nothing to do with the darkness of sin. Please set aside some quiet time this week to pray and meditate on this section of scripture.

Please read the chosen scripture of Ephesians 4:25-5:2 in your bible. The focus verses will be Ephesians 5:1-2. Please set aside some quiet time this week to pray and meditate on this section of scripture.

A message from the series "Standalone." his Sunday as a transition, we will open our bibles to Titus 2:1-15, then the plan is to return to our study in Ephesians 5 on the 12th. The focus verses in our reading will be 11-14. Pastor Dave will speak on “For the Grace of God has appeared” and how that changes everything in the lives of His followers and the life of His church – how we live and how we wait. Let us refresh our understanding of God’s vision for PHBC and be challenged to come out of this wonderful season with great joy and a sense of urgency for the “salvation of all people”. The Grace of God transforms us!
