As we continue this amazing series on the “Ten Commandments”, Pastor Dave would once again ask you to read Exodus 20:1-17 with the focus on verse 16. In addition, please turn forward in your bible to read Exodus 23:1-9. In this commandment, “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor”, we find its foundation in the legal system of early Biblical history (Old Testament law), yet it has important applications for believers today. It speaks to the testimony and witness in legal proceedings, but we also see the principles of integrity, truth, and edification. Take some time this week to quietly meditate over these verses, understanding that this commandment talks of outward actions that begin in the heart.
